Roy Porteris best known for playing an important part of the Bebop movement in the 1940s. He had played with guitaristTeddy BunnandHoward McGheeas well asCharlie Parkeron the now classic Dial session on 28 March 1946. In the late 1960s he began working with a trio which he calledRoy Porter Soundswhich he later changed toRoy Porter Sound Machine. He released two albums as well as some 45s, however the breakbeat monsterParty Timehas never been released on 45rpm single, until now! 500 copies pressed.
