Taste is the solo project of Oli Lipton (Now, Cindy) born of countless after-hours time spent in his home studio and the hoardedrecordings those efforts produced. 1/2 Fantasy, released via Tough Love, splits two previously self-released tapes down themiddle, side by side, to form a debut LP of sorts. Its like summer wine and starshine on a night that lasts for years or just a few minutes. Habits, loves, money spent, Friday night, Saturday morning a rock ‘n’ roll heart steps out with a Les Paul, a pen, andtongue firmly in cheek. Looking sharp and clean but feeling dirty, a hip priest Nikki Sudden if he cared to hone a craft.
