His production workencompasses such diverse figures as The Slits, IRoy, Maximum Joy, Fela Kuti, The Pop Group,Janet Kay, Saada Bonaire, Orange Juice, Golden Teacher, Steel Pulse, and more.

This compilation focuses on the period during andimmediately after Bovells involvement with the JahSufferer Sound System, digging deep to find deepcuts and lesser-known versions, mainly from19761980, plus a killer and lesser-heard dub of
the iconic Silly Games. Painstakingly restoredand remastered at Dubplates & Mastering inBerlin, these decades-old tracks sound pristineand dynamic, sequenced to take the listener on ajourney through Bovells production andarrangement genius.

The accompanying sleevenotes are a result of along conversation with Dennis about this period ofhis life, with track-by-track recollections andfascinating biographical asides. The vinyl and CDversions feature variant artwork, each formatutilising a unique photo by Syd Shelton.
