For the first time since 2019s Feathers, Ackroyd reunites thesetwo instruments exclusively, with every sound on the albumdrawn from piano and violin alone. Melody, harmony, rhythm andtexture are all extracted from the physical bodies of theinstruments themselves, from bowed and plucked strings topercussive elements. Working within these limitations remainscentral to her creative process.
