Loose Nut is the fifth studio album by the American punk rock band Black Flag, released in 1985 on SST Records. While it is not as universally revered as early albums like Damaged, it is considered a solid, if flawed, part of their discography by many fans. The record continues the band’s shift away from pure hardcore towards a heavier, more metallic sound, driven by Greg Ginn’s increasingly experimental guitar work and Henry Rollins’ intense vocals.
