Faith generated four Billboard Hot 100 number one singles from a single LP, a feat no British male solo artist had pulled off before. The Bo Diddley-groove-driven title track “Faith” became the best-selling U.S. single of 1988. “Father Figure” is a slow-burning gospel-tinged ballad that also topped the Hot 100, and “One More Try” remains one of the longest songs ever to reach number one on that chart. “Monkey” rounded out the four chart-toppers, while the funk-driven “I Want Your Sex” served as the provocative lead single that helped ignite the album’s campaign and send Faith to the top of the Billboard 200 for 12 weeks.

The half-speed mastering process allows for finer detail in the cutting stage, and this pressing comes housed in a 3mm spined sleeve with a printed inner sleeve and a 12×12 lyric sheet insert. Rolling Stone ranks Faith at number 151 on its 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list, a fitting acknowledgment of an album that defined a moment and still holds up decades later.
