Just as she did with “Espresso,” Sabrina Carpenter returned to own another summer. Released June 5, 2025, “Manchild” became Carpenter’s first ever No. 1 debut single on the Billboard Hot 100, earning 27 million streams, 14 million radio airplay impressions, and 20,000 copies sold in its first week. The single topped charts in Ireland, the UK, and the US, reaching the top ten in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and Singapore, plus number two on the Billboard Global 200. The track earned four GRAMMY nominations including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Music Video.

Co-written and co-produced with Jack Antonoff and Amy Allen, “Manchild” blends country-influenced country pop, bubblegum pop, and synth-pop with feel-good disco energy. The track opens with a cheeky “Oh boy!” as Carpenter delivers withering insults over sweet upbeat melodies about a pathetic ex-boyfriend. The B-side “Inside of Your Head When You’ve Just Won an Argument with a Man” completes the narrative. Carpenter debuted “Manchild” at Primavera Sound 2025 in Barcelona and later performed it on Saturday Night Live and the 68th Annual GRAMMY Awards.

This indie exclusive 7″ single features clear vinyl housed in a clear PVC sleeve, pressed at 45 RPM. The 7-inch vinyl sold 14,000 copies in its first week, proving Carpenter’s physical format appeal remains strong.
