Sleep Token’s second studio album This Place Will Become Your Tomb arrived in 2021 following their 2019 debut Sundowning. Recorded at G1 Productions in Wells, Somerset, the album was produced by George Lever, with whom the group had previously worked on their debut. The British band’s anonymous collective identity, performing as vessels for an ancient deity named Sleep, adds an element of mystique to their genre-defying sound. The album gave Sleep Token their first chart positions in the UK, reaching the top 40 of the UK Albums Chart and the top 20 of the Scottish Albums Chart. This gatefold double LP captures the band’s ambitious fusion of progressive metal, R&B, and atmospheric rock.
