Breaking from tradition, vocalist/guitarist Pete Loeffler took on producing this effort, making it the band’s first full-length release without an outside producer, while drummer Sam Loeffler described the writing process as “torturous,” comparing it to “pulling your hair out and then trying to put it back in.”
