From making music in her dorm room to becoming one of the most intriguing and exciting indie-pop artists to emerge in 2018, 19-year-old Clairo, AKA Claire Cottrill, self-produced her debut EP, diary 001. She started college shortly after uploading a song called “Pretty Girl” to YouTube, and that same week, her bedroom music video reached a million views. This Limited Edition single-sided black vinyl captures the six-track EP that launched Clairo from bedroom pop phenomenon to touring artist. The gatefold outer sleeve houses the single-sided pressing, preserving the intimate, lo-fi aesthetic that made Clairo’s music resonate with millions.

The New York Times calls it the new generation of “indie pop,” praising her “innate knack for complex emotions rendered so casually as to be destabilizing”.
