Working alongside the Swedish National Radio Archivesand the Gerry Mulligan Estate, the New Land label havemanaged to locate the original master tapes from inside
the Sveriges Radio vault and transfer them to Kevin Gray,who worked his usual magic in mastering and cutting,giving these previously unreleased recordings incrediblesonic scope.
The newly created cover art was designed by regular New Land collaborators Two To Tango, offering a superb modernist look. Newly designed sleeve with rare tourphotography plus words from original bassist Bill Crow.
LP manufactured at Pallas and printed in reverse-boardsleeves on 180gm vinyl, an important addition to anycollection.
Baritone Saxophonist Gerry Mulligan was a true icon ofjazz, being one of the prominent figures in the West Coastscene through the 1950s all the way until his death in1996. Voted number one musician in his instrument byDownbeat Magazine for 42 years in a row, Mulligan wasone of the key players of his time and a figurehead whohelped shape the sound of jazz.
