GRL – Dark Silver Moon Light

GRL’s first album, Dark Silver Moon Light, will be released on May 29, 2026. Behind GRL are two pioneers ofelectronic music: DAF legend Robert Grl and influential DJ and producer Sylvie Marks.
Robert Grl founded the legendary post-punk group Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft (DAF) in 1978. With radicallyreduced, iconic sequences, brutalistic drums, and provocative aesthetics, DAF achieved timeless hits such as DerMussolini. Sylvie Marks, on the other hand, was the first and only female resident DJ at the legendary Frankfurt clubDorian Gray. She later released international club hits as a producer and performed at festivals such as Roskilde.
For six years, Robert Grl and Sylvie Marks have been engaged in a sparkling creative partnership that culminated in therelease of their first joint album as GRL, Dark Silver Moon Light. The album reflects on the aesthetic tradition of DAFwhile transcending it into the present and future.
