Transformation is the brand-new album by The Alarm which waswritten and recorded by lead singer Mike Peters during an eight-month period of extreme living that began with a devastatingdiagnosis of the rare and aggressive cancer Richters Syndrome.

Diagnosed on April 22nd 2024, devastatingly, Mike finally succumbedto this dreadful disease on the 29th April 2025. Mike faced cancer head on with an unswerving, positive attitude until the last… despitesuffering the extreme rigours of the disease and whilst enduring abrutal treatment regime that unfortunately proved to be unsuccessful.

Transformation by The Alarm is regrettably Mike Peters final recorded work, but it also constitutes Mikes finest output. Positivity,optimism and an unparalleled determination to fight for life simplyexplode from this album, whilst the ever-present themes of love, hope
and strength – with which Mike Peters and The Alarm have becomeso synonymous – continue to permeate these remarkable newcompositions, providing a fitting testimony to these enduring tenets.

Transformation was produced by long time Alarm / Mike Peterscollaborator George Williams, with the initial recording sessionsbeginning as a simple musical exchange between father and son,with Mikes youngest, Evan ap Michael (aged 18), backing him on
drums.

The result is Transformation, an extraordinary record made fromextraordinary circumstances. Im glad I have been gifted enough lifeto finish the new record. Nothing was planned up front and its allbeen touch and go not knowing how far I could take things in betweenall the chemo sessions, stated a grateful Mike Peters.

Transformation was originally scheduled to be released in theSummer of 2025, in anticipation of a successful clinical outcome, butdue to Mikes untimely passing, it will now be released in May 2026,being the first anniversary of Mikes funeral.
