This soundtrack features music composed and conducted by John Williams for the 1975 film, Jaws, directed by Steven Spielberg. John Williams composed the film’s score earning him an Academy Award. The score was later ranked the sixth greatest score by the American Film Institute. The main ‘shark’ theme became a classic piece of suspense music now synonymous with approaching danger.
